Damn, I love Shubb capos! Now I normally never really flag wave for anybody–except me, of course–but you’ll come to learn that I love it when a company not only does what they say they will do; but when they especially when they excel!
I have a Shubb deluxe capo and a couple originals. Jeff Peterson introduced me to them a few years back and I immediately started using them exclusively. They’re the best, pure and simple.
These are acoustic instruments that are... plugged... in... because they needed to amplify the acoustic-ness of the ... <head explodes>
Until I started working on my album, I primarily played acoustic guitar; so I used my Shubb constantly. Open chords just sound so much better on an acoustic than barre chords–most of the time at any rate and of course, in MY opinion.
I’ve heard people say they prefer the clip-on kind–because of it being faster to take them on and off is their reasoning… Nope. I just can’t see it, honestly. I whip my Shubb on and off just as quickly and I can put it in my pocket–can’t do that with a clip-on, just too damn big.

The absolute best thing about the Shubbs is that they really don’t alter the sound of the tone or the sound of the guitar–unlike those piece of crap clip-on kind. Screw those things!!!

They totally muffle the sound and pull the strings out of tune! I SPIT ON THEM!!! THEY SHALL ALL PERISH IN THE FIRES OF THE MIGHTY…

As I was saying, Shubbs rock your ass and melt your face and your girlfriend totally wants to get with Shubb. So… You know… Just saying…
Oh! On a serious note, you can adjust the pressure the capo puts on the guitar neck–the clamping procedural type mechanism that exerts force in… oh forget it! You can make it go tight or loose, okay?
Now, that may or may not be cool to you. But I wanted to say something nice about a company and a product with which I am very happy. It’s your fault I can’t be serious for more than two seconds at a time! So don’t blame me if I didn’t do a good job telling you that Shubb capos can totally get your kid to make better grades and your dog to stop crapping on the carpet. I tried to tell you. By the way, your wife just left here with Shubb and they said they won’t be coming back.
You’ve still got your clip on capo though. Totes…
